Job summary

Victaulic seeks a Buyer/Planner I at our Easton, PA corporate headquarters to manage assigned items and suppliers, optimizing inventory turns and service levels. You will coordinate replenishment, lead-times, and logistics while collaborating with commodity and sourcing teams to harvest cost-saving opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in purchasing, material control, or related fields.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Willingness to make infrequent overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned group of items and suppliers to deliver the best inventory turns and high service level.
• Use replenishment methods to minimize SLOB and scrap and maximize active-item availability.
• Develop and manage databases (Kanban, MRP, lead-times) for smooth operations.
• Expedite suppliers and logistics; resolve quality and delivery discrepancies.
• Identify cost-down opportunities and push to owners for savings.
• Collaborate with Commodity/Regional Sourcing Managers and Logistics.
