Job summary

Sub-Zero, Inc. in Madison, WI seeks a Buyer/Planner to balance material supply with demand and support the master production schedule. You will negotiate with suppliers, analyze variances, and work with cross-functional teams to improve inventory turns.

The role offers growth toward leadership or technical expert tracks, with a focus on delivering reliable supply and cost efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or related field.
• 3–5 years of materials experience in manufacturing.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Team player and detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Balance supply of materials with demand to meet goals.
• Negotiate with suppliers for best price and service.
• Analyze purchasing variances and support supplier quality.
• Issue PO releases and manufacturing orders for MPS.
• Expedite/de-expedite orders as production/demand changes.
• Maintain data integrity for parts and supplier timelines.
• Communicate shortages and develop contingency plans.
• Lead special projects under Directors.
• Develop standard costs from market factors.
• Review supplier facilities for qualifications.
• Implement engineering changes on the floor.

Education
