Job summary

Florida Canyon Mining, Inc. is seeking a Buyer to manage procurement of materials, parts, equipment, tools, and services for our mining operations in the United States.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Supervisor, you will issue purchase orders, oversee contracts, and support planning with sourcing proposals. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in business or related field (preferred) and at least five years of procurement experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred.
• Minimum of five years procurement experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a team environment required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• Excellent safety record with ability to demonstrate safety leadership qualities required.
• Excellent planning, problem solving, decision making, organizational and interpersonal skills required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds required.
• Demonstrated ability to perform essential functions of the position required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requests for services and verify contractor documents to generate contract agreements.
• Express ideas clearly and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Interact with mine personnel and outside contractors to contract services.
• Operate office equipment and PC software used to manage procurement tasks.
• Maintain monthly cost savings reports.
• Assist other departments as needed.
• Maintain a safe, healthy, and clean work environment with safety and company values in all aspects of work.
• All other duties as assigned.
