Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of Purchasing/Materials experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient using MS Office software.
• ERP Software experience required - 3 years, Acumatica a plus.
• Ability to handle multiple projects.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Purchase the materials needed to support production activities and new product development.
• Manage raw material inventories to meet the specific financial targets.
• Negotiate with suppliers to establish the most favorable cost, delivery, and terms for purchased materials.
• Develop and maintain relations with suppliers. Find and certify new suppliers. Drive supplier improvements. Maintain supplier records.
• Work to consolidate vendors where possible.
• Establish process and policy improvements to always improve the vendor base.
• Collaborate with other supply chain team members to develop and execute purchasing strategies.
• Other duties as requested, directed, or assigned by the Supervisor.
