Job summary

SPX is seeking a Buyer in Franklin, TN to oversee purchasing activities for a portion of the annual spend, around $55M for the Americas. You will order goods from qualified suppliers, monitor daily inventory, and use PFEP planning to determine replenishment needs while applying Lean inventory concepts.

Collaboration with QA on RMAs and on-time delivery is essential. The role requires at least 5 years in purchasing, preferably with PCB design/procurement, and familiarity with SAP.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing organizations.
• Experience with PCB design/procurement.
• Hybrid role based in Franklin, TN, with onsite four days per week.

Responsibilities

• Analyze usage, supplier lead times and material availability to ensure zero downtime on production floor.
• Share usage and stock levels with supply chain partners weekly to promote Just-in-Time inventory management.
• Support inventory turns by ordering small, frequent batches from suppliers following Lean principles.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships across the organization.
• Support special supply chain projects and initiatives.
• Analyze and manage supply chain data using SAP and PFEP.
