Vantage Elevation, LLC in New York is seeking a results-driven Buyer Agent to join GAL Manufacturing team. The role emphasizes procurement-to-delivery, ERP/MRP management and supplier collaboration to ensure on-time delivery and optimal inventory levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or related field.
• 1–2 years ERP/MRP experience; Infor V11 preferred.
• 2–3 years procurement experience in a make-to-order environment.
• Advanced Excel; SQL/Python data analysis a plus.
• APICS (CPIM/CSCP) or CPSM certification preferred but not required.
• Strong vendor management, including contracts, scorecards, metrics.
• Forecasting and inventory planning to ensure product availability.
• Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, presentation).
• Strong organizational, time management, multitasking abilities.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Purchasing & Procurement Operations: handle tactical purchasing to maintain high service levels.
• Generate requisitions and issue Purchase Orders to suppliers.
• Maintain accurate PO pricing, quantities, deliveries & ERP data.
• Production & Scheduling Support: align material orders with production build schedules.
• Schedule timely delivery of materials for assigned commodities.
• Provide suppliers with a rolling 12-month forecast.
• Inventory & Supplier Management: maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Identify and elevate supply risks to Purchasing Manager.
• Actively manage inventory to meet strategies and targets.
• Monitor supplier compliance with inventory agreements.
• Cost Management & Financial Coordination: resolve invoice discrepancies with Accounts Payable.
• Generate cost-saving initiatives and report results.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with Sustaining Engineering on part changes.
• Supplier Development & Compliance: participate in supplier qualification and evaluation.
• Partner with Quality to resolve supplier non-conformances.
