Job summary

Cleveland Gear Company is seeking a motivated Buyer/Purchasing professional to source products meeting company requirements in a timely, cost-effective manner to support operations. The role emphasizes PO management, inventory control, vendor identification, and cost-saving initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality.

The ideal candidate has experience in manufacturing purchases, MIS familiarity, and the ability to negotiate favorable terms while ensuring on-time delivery and compliance with

Qualifications

Three (3) years experience in purchasing.
One (1) to two (2) years of college
Three (3) years experience in manufacturing
Knowledge of MIS systems
Experience in multiple commodity purchases

Responsibilities

Issue and maintain Purchase Orders in support of production requirements.
Monitor and maintain inventory levels where Kanban is used.
Analyze and decrease inventory levels as needed to improve inventory turns.
Identify vendors to support Cleveland Gear growth initiatives.
Identify and implement cost saving opportunities.
Maintain on-time delivery dates and ensure quality requirements are met by the vendor.
Work closely with planning and production to achieve on-time delivery goals.
Assure all necessary documents contain the correct information required.
