Job summary

Pacific Seafood is seeking a Buyer to join the Clackamas Purchasing team in Clackamas, OR. The role focuses on maintaining inventory levels, coordinating freight, and supporting inventory and buying teams with analytical and organizational precision.

The position requires at least a bachelor’s degree and two years of buyer experience, plus strong Excel/Word skills. Responsibilities include forecasting, supplier collaboration, and ensuring timely deliveries in a demanding food-industry

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is required.
• Minimum two years’ experience as a buyer.
• Strong computer skills with MS Office (Word/Excel) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inventory Control Management: manage stock levels, attend inventory meetings, maintain cost fields in AS400, develop weekly forecasts.
• Market Analysis and Collaboration: analyze market conditions, assist in sales/market plans, use supplier lead times for advantage.
• Logistics Coordination: ensure delivery schedules, prepare POs, track freight and inbound shipments.
• Administrative Support and Customer Service: cross-train with buyers, update bid sheets, assist inquiries.
