Job summary

North American Lighting Inc. is seeking a Buyer - II to join our team in Illinois.

The role focuses on strategic sourcing of assigned commodity parts, drafting award recommendations, and issuing RFQs to suppliers to meet supply and cost targets. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in Business or related field and 3–5 years of direct purchasing experience, with preference for engineering or supply chain background.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of professional experience within direct purchasing.
• Degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Strategic sourcing of assigned commodity parts.
• Drafts sourcing recommendations for award summarizing bid history and justifying the selection.
• Analyzes, negotiates, and issues RFQs to suppliers for materials, supply contracts and services.
• Works with Supplier Quality Engineering for source selection and supports new program launches with materials/suppliers.
