Job summary

Crane Engineering Sales Inc in Kimberly, WI, is seeking a Buyer II to manage day-to-day procurement for custom-engineered skid systems. You will partner with Project Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality and Finance to convert requirements into actionable purchasing plans, place and track orders, and expedite critical materials.

The role requires strong attention to detail, supplier negotiation skills, and the ability to manage multiple orders across projects in a manufacturing

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering Technology, Operations, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Three to five years in purchasing, procurement, material planning, or supply chain in manufacturing.
• Experience with engineered-to-order, make-to-order or project-based manufacturing preferred.
• Experience purchasing mechanical, electrical, fabricated, or industrial components preferred.
• Experience managing purchase orders end-to-end and negotiating with suppliers.
• Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems; proficiency with Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day procurement and supplier coordination for custom-engineered skid systems.
• Convert project requirements and BOMs into actionable purchasing plans and purchase orders.
• Expedite critical materials and resolve supplier issues to meet schedules and technical requirements.
• Maintain accurate purchasing and delivery information within the ERP system; monitor supplier performance.
