Job summary

Daifuku Airport America Corporation is seeking a Buyer to purchase materials, subcontracts and services for a defined group of custom engineered items. You will negotiate terms, review requisitions, and administer contracts with suppliers to meet project schedules.

Responsibilities include soliciting bids, coordinating with Engineering, and issuing Purchase Orders/Change Orders while ensuring compliance with company terms. Strong negotiation and ERP experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply management or related field.
• 3–5 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing or service organization.
• Strong negotiation skills and knowledge of contract law, UCC, and procurement policies.
• Computer literacy with MS Word, Excel, Access; SAP knowledge desired.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and procure custom engineered or specialty items.
• Solicit competitive bids and evaluate terms.
• Coordinate vendor proposals with Engineering and Production.
• Issue and manage purchase orders and change orders.
• Identify and engage minority vendors.
• Expedite materials to maintain project schedules.
• Enter orders into ERP system accurately.
