Job summary

VSE in Miami, FL is seeking a Buyer II to manage day-to-day supply chain activities and contribute to long-term planning for aerospace distribution. The role involves ERP-based purchasing, data analysis in BI tools, and close collaboration with vendors and internal departments.

You will create purchase orders, track orders, evaluate bids, and support supplier negotiations while optimizing ERP data feeds for PowerBI insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant/technical work experience in supply chain or procurement.
• Proficient in MS Office, strong Excel skills, and PowerBI or another BI tool.
• Knowledge of Component Control Quantum.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and time management.

Responsibilities

• Create Purchase Orders in ERP and ensure data flows into PowerBI.
• Follow up on open orders for accuracy and need.
• Lead strategic sourcing activities including RFPs and price analyses.
• Negotiate terms with suppliers and manage vendor relationships.
• Assist ERP optimization to feed accurate inputs into BI dashboards.
