Job summary

Restek Corporation seeks a Buyer to lead material procurement, manage inventory using ERP, and build strong supplier partnerships. You will own the purchasing process for select raw materials, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement to support production demands.

This role emphasizes data-driven inventory analysis, collaboration with planning teams, and RFQ leadership, with a focus on improving supplier performance and delivery reliability.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in buying, procurement, or inventory control OR an associate’s degree in business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Professional certifications (APICS, ISM, SCM) are a strong plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/purchasing systems.

Responsibilities

• Own the purchasing process for select raw materials to support production demands.
• Use ERP to monitor inventory, prevent shortages and optimize turns.
• Prepare and execute purchase orders aligned with planning needs.
• Partner with Planning and Receiving to track usage and adjust stocking strategies.
• Communicate pricing, delivery timelines, or sourcing changes to stakeholders.
• Analyze inventory and supplier performance with data-driven tools.
• Collaborate with Strategic Sourcing to vet new suppliers and foster partnerships.
• Lead RFQ processes—solicit, compare, and bid decisions.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies, quality issues, and engineering change impacts.
• Maintain item records and supplier data in systems.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive corrective actions.
