Job summary

1-800-FLOWERS.COM, INC. is seeking a Buyer to manage procurement and supplier relationships for multiple spend categories in a multi-channel retail environment.

You will lead sourcing activities, negotiate terms, and ensure on-time delivery while supporting inventory control and BOM accuracy. The role requires a five-year background in procurement or supply chain, strong ERP knowledge, and comfort working with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years in procurement or supply chain.
• ERP experience and understanding of manufacturing requirements; Oracle and/or SAP preferred.
• Food ingredients or food industry background is ideal but not required.
• Strong Excel skills and data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Source and select suppliers; negotiate pricing, terms, and long-term contracts.
• Develop and execute purchasing strategies for direct/indirect spend; manage supplier relationships.
• Ensure on-time delivery, cost controls, and BOM accuracy; monitor spends against budgets.
• Collaborate with Merchandising, Production, Finance, and other teams to support business goals.
