Job summary

1-800-FLOWERS.COM, INC is seeking a Buyer to support purchasing across direct and indirect spend categories for a multi-channel gourmet gifts business. You will lead supplier negotiations, manage vendor performance, and ensure timely material flow while collaborating with Operations, Merchandising, and Production teams.

The role requires five+ years in procurement or supply chain, proficiency with ERP systems, and ability to drive cost controls and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a procurement or supply chain position.
• Experience with food ingredients or within the food industry is preferred but not required.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and ability to assess supplier capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Vendor selection and sourcing for direct/indirect spend.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and supplier agreements.
• Manage supplier relationships and ensure on-time delivery and BOM cost control.
• Develop and execute purchasing strategies and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Collaborate with Merchandising, Production, Warehouse, and Finance to support purchasing decisions.
