Job summary

Kloepfel Consulting Deutschland is seeking a Strategic Buyer (m/f/d) for Supply Chain Management to drive cost-efficient procurement and strategic supplier management. You will analyze markets, select suppliers, negotiate terms, and collaborate across departments to secure high-quality materials and services.

The role emphasizes KPI-driven thinking, German and English communication, and the development of supplier relationships within an innovative, international environment.

Qualifications

• Completed degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or comparable qualification.
• Experience in strategic or technical purchasing, ideally in an industrial environment.
• Strong negotiation skills and knowledge of contract law.
• Structured, independent, solution-oriented work style and teamwork.
• Enjoys KPI-driven analysis and analytical thinking.
• ERP systems, MS Office and modern digital tools are standard.
• Excellent German and English language skills with intercultural competence.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cost and market analyses to identify new suppliers domestically and abroad.
• Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimise costs, quality and supply security.
• Select and assess suppliers; negotiate prices and terms independently.
• Shape supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance.
• Collaborate with other departments to define materials and service requirements.
• Oversee operational processing of orders and monitor procurement processes.
• Contribute to cross-functional projects across Source-to-Contract and Purchase-to-Pay.
• Handle complaints and delivery issues to ensure quality and on‑time delivery.
• Check invoices and approve payments after delivery and quality control.
