American Hydro is hiring a Buyer for its York, PA facility. The role sources materials, negotiates with suppliers, and manages a global supply base to support heavy fabrication manufacturing.

You will partner with engineering, operations, and quality teams to ensure cost competitiveness and timely delivery. Ideal candidates have strong negotiation, organizational, and analytical skills and experience with Epicor ERP and Power BI.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and quality assurance.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Power BI.
• ERP experience (Epicor) to support purchasing activities.

Responsabilités

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for raw materials and components.
• Identify and qualify global and domestic suppliers for capability and quality.
• Lead supplier negotiations focusing on cost reduction and long-term value.
• Monitor supplier performance with KPIs like on-time delivery and cost.
• Drive supplier development to improve resilience and reduce total cost of ownership.
• Use data analytics to guide purchasing decisions (Power BI).
• Support logistics and customs activities and ensure ISO 9001 alignment.
