Job summary

ADP, Inc. in California is seeking a Buyer to join our Purchasing Dept. The Buyer is responsible for maintaining inventory levels by purchasing materials and products in a timely and cost-effective manner.

You will work with vendors, Accounts Payable, and internal teams to ensure accurate purchasing and on-time deliveries. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in buying, strong negotiation skills, experience with ERP and analytics tools, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a buyer/purchasing role.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management capabilities.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, inventory tools, and analytics software.
• Excellent communication and organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Review inventory levels to maintain stock levels.
• Generate and process purchase orders accurately and timely.
• Communicate with vendors on pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules.
• Monitor orders to ensure on-time delivery and resolve delays.
• Coordinate with Accounts Payable for receipts and invoices.
• Maintain purchasing records and documentation.
• Collaborate with warehouse, sales, and operations.
• Identify opportunities to improve purchasing processes and reduce costs.
