Job summary

Voyager Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Buyer II for Voyager Lunar Systems in Pittsburgh. The hybrid role reports to the Director of Supply Chain and involves placing and managing purchase orders and subcontracts for direct and indirect needs, with PO data accuracy in the MRP system.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in supply chain or 9+ years in purchasing, plus strong communication and analytical skills, and ERP experience. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, engineering, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in supply chain OR 9+ years in purchasing in lieu of a degree.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with procurement management and ERP systems.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Place and manage purchase orders and subcontracts for direct contract and indirect company-support acquisitions.
• Monitor and expedite open purchase orders according to project requirements.
• Manage purchase order data in the MRP system to ensure accuracy.
• Conduct negotiations to secure favorable terms, price, and schedule with suppliers.
• Prioritize and execute program requirements to meet needs.
• Communicate supplier performance risks proactively with internal customers.
• Support resolution of discrepancies related to purchasing, delivery, receiving, AP invoices, and payments.
