Job summary

Rolls-Royce in Indianapolis is seeking a Strategic Buyer to shape the sourcing strategy across multiple commodities and drive high-impact contract negotiations. Position Summary:

As a Buyer for Rolls-Royce, you'll play an integral role in developing the purchasing strategy across various commodities and executing that strategy through high-impact contract negotiations, lead commercial activities, and ensure supply chain competitiveness, compliance, and resilience. This is an exciting opportunity, as you'll interface with a range of senior internal stakeholders and drive success to improve cost, quality, delivery and performance.

What you will be doing:

• Lead supplier negotiations, strategic sourcing, and category management to drive cost, quality, and delivery improvements
• Taking a significant role in crafting commodity strategies
• Building relationships with suppliers
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies that align with the company goals and deliver measurable value
• Lead cost-reduction initiatives and risk mitigation plans to ensure commercial resilience
• Collaborate across business functions to align procurement strategy with organizational priorities
• Support ongoing process improvement and best practice sharing across the global network

Basic Requirements:

• Associate degree with 4+ years of experience in purchasing or supply chain, OR
• Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience in purchasing or supply chain, OR
• Master's degree, OR
• JD/PhD, OR
• 6+ years of experience in purchasing or supply chain in lieu of a degree
• In order to be eligible for consideration, you must be a U.S. Citizen
