Job summary

Fifth Third Bank is seeking a Business Transition Development Director to lead a strategic advisory function focused on owners and executives. You will collaborate with Private Bank, Commercial Bank and Capital Markets to expand the One Bank partnership and drive wealth transition initiatives.

The role requires 8+ years in wealth management/trust, and licenses SIE, 7, and Series 63. Travel and leadership responsibilities accompany a base pay range with incentive eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Private Banking Wealth Management and/or Trust and Legal (e.g. trust, legal or accounting).
• Required licenses: SIE, 7, and Series 63.
• Demonstrated track record of success in business development.
• Strong relationship management skills with internal partners, COIs, and clients.
• Exceptional client service skills.
• Exhibits urgency and drive to results while partnering with management at all levels.
• Excellent interpersonal negotiation, verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Microsoft Office proficiency including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CoPilot.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Partner: develop strategic relationships with One Bank partners to execute the transition advisory strategy.
• Deliver educational sessions to Private Bank, Middle Market, Corporate Finance and Capital Markets; participate in external panels.
• Contribute to strategic alliances to integrate transition advisory services for business owners and executives.
• Proactively communicate with partners on referrals, opportunities, and prospects.
• Transition Advisory Services: advise clients/families navigating complex business transitions with EBITDA ≥ $5M and post-transition liquidity ≥ $15M per owner.
• Strengthen and increase usage of the Private Bank to business owners at every life cycle stage.
• Execute transition processes and operating rhythms to develop a robust pipeline and achieve outcomes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of business advisory transition practice management.
