Job summary

Fifth Third Bank is seeking a Business Transition Senior Strategist to serve as the primary wealth planning expert for high-net-worth clients, with a focus on business owners navigating ownership transitions.

You will partner with Wealth Management Advisors, Commercial Relationship Managers, and Investment Banking partners to lead discovery, develop integrated strategies, and support implementation across pre- and post-transaction phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 10+ years of wealth planning or related advisory experience.
• JD, CPA, CFP or equivalent credentials preferred.
• Ability to advise on complex transition scenarios including sale, succession, and liquidity events.
• Strong consultative communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with WMAs and One Bank partners to acquire and retain key client relationships by delivering comprehensive wealth strategies.
• Work directly with business owners to assess transition readiness and develop customized transition plans across pre- and post-transaction phases.
• Align business transition plans with personal wealth objectives including estate planning and tax optimization.
• Lead development of integrated wealth plans across estate, tax, investment, risk, insurance, and cash flow planning.
• Model financial and tax implications of transition scenarios and identify planning opportunities.
• Coordinate preparation and review of client deliverables and transition plans.
• Present recommendations and coordinate execution of transition and wealth planning strategies with other advisors.
• Lead a coordinated team approach across Wealth Management, Commercial, and Investment Banking partners.
• Educate internal partners and clients on trends, opportunities, and best practices in business transitions.
• Coach and mentor Analysts and Strategists in advanced planning and advisory skills.
• Operate within the Bank's risk framework and ensure policy adherence.
