Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is hiring a Financial Analyst, Budgets and Business Planning to manage budgeting and forecasting for the PSD network. You will collaborate with Operations, controllers, and the Executive Office on monthly close and financial analyses.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, 5 years accounting experience or 3 years public accounting, strong GAAP knowledge, and advanced Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5 years of progressive accounting experience or 3 years of public accounting.
• Demonstrated knowledge and application of GAAP.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Must be highly computer literate, including advanced use of Excel.
• Ability to establish effective working relationships with senior management and staff at all levels.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Applies GAAP in carrying out core responsibilities and special projects.
• Communicates with department leaders and corporate about inquiries; prepares and shares business plans with site controllers and administrators.
• Assists site controllers in justifying variances by analyzing actuals versus budget/plan using statistical and operational data.
• Fully responsible for completing budgets for designated cost centers at the site.
• Collaborates with Strategy, business development, and operations to develop plans for growth in physician enterprise.
• Performs extensive analysis of Missions Support variances with the Physician Practice team.
• Maintains up-to-date Finance counterparts and tools at the site to assist clinical leaders.
• Prepares monthly accruals and coordinates with the accounting team on standard entries and recoveries.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the site controller.
