Job summary

City of Largo is seeking a Performance & Budget Manager to oversee the City’s Budget, CIP, and performance programs. The role drives strategic financial planning, data governance, and inclusive decision-making across departments under the High-Performance Organization framework.

The position reports to the Performance & Budget Director and requires strong budgeting, procurement, and analytical skills, plus leadership experience in a public sector setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration or related field; 7 years budget and performance analysis experience.
• Two years of supervisory or project management experience preferred.
• Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification.
• Strong knowledge of TRIM regulations and municipal budgeting.
• Excellent project management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present the City Budget, Budget Amendments, and Capital Improvement Program.
• Lead performance management initiatives and data analytics.
• Coordinate budget alignment with the City’s Strategic Plan and departments.
• Serve as liaison to the Audit Committee.
• Ensure compliance with policies to manage financial risk.
• Respond to City Commission inquiries regarding budget and CIP.
