Job summary

University of Washington’s School of STEM seeks an Associate Director of Budget & Strategic Operations to lead multi-year planning, budgeting, and strategic analysis. Reporting to the Dean, you will partner with shared administrative services to align resources with institutional priorities while supporting school initiatives and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Five years of progressively responsible experience in financial operations, financial planning, or financial administration.
• Knowledge of GAAP and practices sufficient to analyze, interpret, identify errors, and prepare financial information, records, and reports.

Responsibilities

• Lead school-level resource planning and multi-year budgeting.
• Provide decision support by translating financial data into actionable options for senior leadership.
• Coordinate with UWB’s shared administrative services to ensure timely delivery of services and alignment with university processes.
• Support accreditation, program review, and other compliance-related financial processes.
