Job summary

Washington State Department of Social and Health Services is seeking an Assistant Budget and Finance Manager to join Western State Hospital (WSH). You will influence budget and finance operations, contribute to strategic financial decisions, and support the CFO with analytic insights across the hospital.

You will oversee budget development, conduct analyses, monitor expenditures, and provide monthly forecasts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, economics, health administration, or a related field with three years of financial data analysis experience.
• Additional qualifying experience may substitute education on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor budget and finance material for projects as directed by CFO or Budget and Finance Manager.
• Conduct advanced financial analysis of project budgets and recommend budgetary controls.
• Provide monthly analysis of budget, forecast, and expenditure trends to CFO, executive management, and leadership for all assigned projects.
• Receive and manage all WSH purchase requests through Tracks Systems.
• Provide strategic guidance on policy, management of positions, tracking/reporting requirements, overtime control, and CBA compliance.
• Ensure the financial integrity of services delivered by CBS in support of the Civil Center and Gage Center.
• Develop and implement WSH policies and procedures.
