Job summary

Washington State Health Care Authority seeks a Portfolio Budget Manager to develop and monitor key budget components including Medicaid, mental health, and administrative budgets. You will analyze variances, prepare financial models, and coordinate with OFM and legislative staff to ensure alignment with policy and strategic goals.

The role is hybrid, requiring on-site presence one day per week with flexibility for occasional meetings.

Qualifications

• Experience with large, complex financial systems and information.
• Proficient in Power BI and data visualization.
• Strong knowledge of state budget processes and fiscal policy.
• Ability to map program data, identify trends, and provide resource allocation recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex financial analyses and modeling for budget packages.
• Develop and assess fiscal impacts of proposals related to Medicaid and budgets.
• Coordinate data accuracy with staff to meet budget objectives and strategic goals.
• Communicate with OFM, legislative staff, and internal stakeholders on proposals.
