Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, economics, or a related field and two years professional experience in budgeting, finance, or accounting; or any equivalent combination of related training and experience.
• Applicants within six months of meeting the minimum education/experience requirement may be considered for trainee status.
• Successful completion of all applicable background checks pre-hire and ongoing are required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze current and past budgets and prepare budget requests.
• Allocate funds according to County spending priorities.
• Develop and maintain budgetary controls and management reports.
• Conduct efficiency studies and operational audits to improve department productivity.
• Prepare analytical reports on management issues, including cost impacts.
