Job summary

New York Botanical Garden is seeking a seasoned Vice President of Budget & Financial Analysis to lead enterprise financial strategy, planning, and governance. You will shape resource allocation, develop robust financial models, and provide executive-level analysis to guide decisions for a $100 million operating budget and complex revenue streams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration or a related field.
• Minimum of 15 years of progressively responsible financial planning, analysis, budgeting or related finance experience with significant leadership.
• Expert-level financial modeling and analytical skills; Excel proficiency.
• Nonprofit or complex fund experience including government funding, endowments, contracts and grants.
• Experience with ERP environments, data governance and process improvement.
• Strong knowledge of compliance and internal controls.
• Ability to advise senior executives and present complex analyses to boards.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic financial planning and multi-year forecasting.
• Develop and present executive and Board materials with clear drivers and tradeoffs.
• Oversee operating and capital budgeting, grants, contracts and reporting.
• Ensure compliance, controls and audit readiness across the organization.
• Collaborate with various units for integrated planning and decision-making.
