Job summary

Amentum is seeking a driven Biosurveillance Operations Senior Planner to join the PACOM Command Surgeon’s DST. You will synchronize biosurveillance efforts across J3/J5/J7/J07, producing daily decision products and operational plans for the Command Surgeon.

We require 8+ years in military operations or related fields, TS/SCI clearance, and strong briefing skills. Location is Camp Smith, Hawaii, with oversight from J85 and direct support to J07.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance; ability to complete polygraph if required.
• 8+ years in military operations, joint planning, biosurveillance, or public-health emergency management.
• Experience with Joint Planning Process and contributing to operational plans/orders.
• Ability to translate complex information into actionable recommendations for senior decision-makers.

Responsibilities

• Integrate inputs into a biosurveillance operational picture identifying threats, anomalies, and actions.
• Prepare assessments, options, executive briefings, and recommendations for J07/J85.
• Incorporate Force Health Protection and epidemiology considerations into plans and orders.
• Lead or participate in cross-functional planning forums and working groups.
• Coordinate with PACOM directorates, public-health organizations, and interagency partners.
• Plan and assess biosurveillance exercises and medical countermeasure planning.
• Test biosurveillance platforms and consolidate feedback for assessments and documents.
• Translate operational needs into requirements for technical teams; coding not required.
• Develop decision pathways, procedures, and event documentation.
