Andreessen Horowitz, known as a16z, is hiring a Communications Partner for its Bio + Health Fund in the San Francisco Bay Area. You will amplify portfolio stories, shape narratives around late-stage technology, and collaborate with the marketing team on content, social, and events.

You will partner with General Partners, advise portfolio companies on brand marketing, media strategy, crisis comms, internal comms, and build strong industry networks to surface key narratives and opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years in corporate, executive, product, or crisis communications with biotech/healthcare focus.
• Deep familiarity with bio and healthcare landscape, including clinical and regulatory milestones.
• In-house and agency experience required.
• Creative thinker with ability to grow influence and networks.
• Proven ability to lead and advise on brand marketing, media strategy, and crisis management.
• Strong writer capable of translating complex technical concepts into clear narratives.
• Ability to define and execute communications strategies with executive-level influence.

Responsibilities

• Partner with General Partners to define strategy and drive brand platforms.
• Advise dozens of portfolio companies on brand marketing and media outreach.
• Develop high-impact campaigns across earned media, podcasts, newsletters.
• Maintain relationships with media, content creators, and influencers.
• Build industry networks and secure opportunities for leadership discussions.
• Collaborate with broader marketing and New Media teams on events and workshops.
