Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) is seeking a Communications Partner for the Bio + Health Fund. You will amplify portfolio stories, shape narratives, and run campaigns across earned media and internal channels.

You will coach portfolio companies on branding, media strategy, crisis management, and internal communications. This Bay Area role blends internal collaboration with externally influencing the frontier of medicine and healthcare.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in corporate, executive, product, or crisis communications; biotech/healthcare focus preferred.
• In-house and agency experience required.
• Excellent writing and storytelling for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Define strategy and execute communications plans to advance brand platforms and portfolio founders.
• Serve as trusted advisor for portfolio companies on brand marketing, media strategy, crisis management, and internal comms.
• Develop and execute high-impact campaigns across earned media (press, podcasts, newsletters) and partner with the marketing team.
• Maintain relationships with media, content creators, and industry influencers to surface key narratives.
• Proactively build industry networks and secure brand-building opportunities for leaders to speak and lead.
• Collaborate with New Media on broader strategy, events, and portfolio workshops.
