Job summary

Planned Parenthood Los Angeles seeks an experienced Benefits and Compensation Specialist to administer and support our benefits and compensation programs from our Downtown Los Angeles Headquarters.

The role ensures accurate administration of employee benefit plans, compensation processes, and HR compliance, serving as a resource for employees and management while supporting strategic HR initiatives that promote engagement and retention.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2–3 years benefits and compensation administrative experience.
• SHRM Certification preferred.
• Experience with HRIS and HR reports; UKG preferred.
• Willingness to travel within Los Angeles County.

Responsibilities

• Process and maintain all benefit changes in HRIS (new hires, events, retirement).
• Conduct benefits audits and reconcile enrollment data for accuracy.
• Maintain benefit forms and invoices; ensure timely payments.
• Support Open Enrollment with provider updates and employee communications.
• Assist with COBRA/HIPAA/ERISA retirement plan compliance and audits.
• Update SOPs for benefits and compensation practices.
