Job summary

Brown & Brown is seeking a Senior Employee Benefits Analyst – Public Sector in New York to lead renewal analyses, analyze claims and utilization, and provide data-driven insights for long-term benefits planning. You will manage RFP processes, compare carrier proposals, and support negotiations with Benefits Consultants while delivering advanced reporting to clients.

The role requires 5+ years in employee benefits analytics or consulting, with strong knowledge of fully insured and self-funded

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in employee benefits analytics, brokerage, or consulting.
• Advanced experience with renewal and financial analysis, claims and utilization reporting, and RFP development and carrier evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex renewal analyses across all lines of coverage.
• Evaluate claims experience, utilization trends, and financial performance to identify risks and opportunities.
• Develop strategic, data-driven recommendations for long-term benefits planning and funding strategies.
• Lead the development and execution of RFP processes for assigned clients.
• Analyze and compare carrier proposals, identifying competitive positioning and financial impact.
• Support and participate in carrier negotiations with Benefits Consultants.
• Develop and deliver advanced financial and management reporting (scheduled and ad hoc).
• Present renewal analyses, performance results, and recommendations to client staff and leadership.
