UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking an Accountant III to join the Benefits accounting team in the Department of Accounting and Fiscal Services. This position will primarily be responsible for completing Benefit Account reconciliations and journal entries. Strong Excel, experience with pivot tables and strong analytical skills.

Formación

• Master's, Bachelor's, or Associate's degree as required.
• 3 years of governmental/commercial accounting or auditing with Master's; 5 years with Bachelor's; 7 years with Associate.

Responsabilidades

• Maintains internal accounting procedures and workflow to maximize efficiency.
• Advises management on budgets to prevent overspending.
• Prepares monthly/quarterly/annual financial reports and schedules.
• Approves expense vouchers.
• Verifies ledgers for correctness and reconciles monthly/annual reports.
• May supervise posting to general, accounts payable, and accounts receivable ledgers.
• Determines work priorities for staff of lower level accountants and clerks.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
