Job summary

The Cigna Group's Evernorth Behavioral Health is seeking a strategic clinical leader to direct the Clinical Program department and advance behavioral health programs that improve outcomes for members, customers, providers, and the business.

As Clinical Program Director you will lead department leaders and teams, establish priorities, governance, and accountability, and partner across Product, Network, Clinical Operations, Medical, Quality, Analytics to translate evidence into scalable programs.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted behavioral health license (e.g., LPC, LCSW, LMFT, psychologist or equivalent).
• Five+ years leading complex clinical programs or multidisciplinary teams in a matrixed environment.
• Strong knowledge of evidence-based behavioral health practices, guidelines, quality standards, evaluation, and measurement-informed care.
• Demonstrated ability to use research and analytics to shape strategy, evaluate performance, and translate data into practical programs and executive recommendations.
• Executive-level communication, influence, talent development, and accountability skills.

Responsibilities

• Set strategic direction for behavioral health clinical programs and align leaders around priorities and accountability.
• Build leadership capability and an integrated, high-performing department focused on clinical excellence, innovation, affordability, member experience, and differentiation.
• Serve as a trusted clinical advisor to senior leaders, customers, partners, and industry audiences.
• Oversee the full program lifecycle from opportunity assessment to scalable operations.
• Establish clinical standards, governance, measures, and operating models for consistent execution and informed decisions about program continuation or redesign.
• Advance evidence-based frameworks, curricula, and measurement-informed care across programs and services.
• Use research and analytics to identify opportunities, define clinical and business measures, evaluate performance, and guide strategic decisions.
• Translate complex evidence and program results into executive briefings, publications, and thought leadership.
