Job summary

Ducommun's Performance Center in Carson, CA seeks a Sr. Manager, BD & Program Operations to lead customer growth, program execution, and commercial performance across the business.

Reporting to the Director of Business Development & Programs, this role bridges business development and program management to ensure customer satisfaction and profitable growth. The role leads the Program Management organization, collaborates with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality and Finance, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, supply chain, operations management or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in business development, program management, account management, or commercial operations in manufacturing, aerospace or defense.
• Demonstrated experience leading customer-facing programs and cross-functional teams.
• Prior people leadership experience is required.
• Experience managing complex customer relationships and commercial activities.
• Experience in aerospace, defense or highly regulated manufacturing environments is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support execution of business development strategies to achieve revenue growth and market expansion.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Identify and evaluate new business opportunities within aerospace, defense and adjacent markets.
• Partner on strategic account planning and growth initiatives with the Director of Business Development & Programs.
• Support customer visits, business reviews, trade shows, and industry networking activities.
• Coordinate cross-functional proposal and quotation activities.
• Ensure timely and competitive responses to RFQs and opportunities.
• Drive program management leadership and monitor performance metrics such as schedule, margin, delivery, and satisfaction.
• Coach and develop the Program Management Manager and team; promote accountability and continuous improvement.
