Job summary

SAIC seeks a high-caliber Business Development Director and SME with deep OTA, CSO, and SBIR/STTR experience. You will own strategic positioning, pipeline development, and win strategies across DoD consortia and direct partners, guiding capture, pricing, and compliance in non-traditional acquisition spaces.

This role requires a minimum of 10 years of federal BD or related work, strong leadership, and an active network with DoD AOs, CMOs, and SBIR program managers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Public Policy, or related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; briefing senior government and corporate leadership.
• Minimum 10 years of federal BD, capture management, or acquisition with OTA/CSO/SBIR focus.
• Active network with DoD AOs, CMOs, SBIR program managers; SME in OTA/CSO/SBIR.

Responsibilities

• Identify and qualify high-value opportunities ($10M-$100M+) across defense portals and consortia.
• Lead capture for OTA, CSO, and SBIR/STTR with compelling win themes and pricing.
• Coordinate with CMOs, DIU, AFWERX, and others; build teaming ecosystems.
• Advise on non-traditional acquisition compliance and transition plans from prototype to production.
