Job summary

CLS Group in the United States seeks an Assistant Vice President of Compliance Monitoring and Testing to lead second-line oversight and mature the compliance program. The AVP will stay current with regulatory changes and ensure the monitoring and testing framework remains fit for purpose, identifying control gaps and driving proactive risk management.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience in compliance testing / monitoring / auditing / risk management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint; Archer a plus.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements (Prudential, BSA/AML, Privacy).
• Strong analytic capabilities; excellent communications skills to influence stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and manage deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Write Compliance Testing reports clearly with minimal oversight.
• Manage stakeholder engagement independently.
• Independently scope a review after reviewing related regulations and CRA discussions.
• Take initiative for next steps with limited instruction.
• Propose process improvements to make the team’s workflows more efficient.
• Work independently to assess gaps and influence outcomes.
• Maintain relationships with senior stakeholders to mitigate risk.
• Adapt communication style for different audiences to drive cross-functional collaboration.
• Make judgement-based decisions on elevated compliance risk and adapt policies.
