Job summary

The Assistant Vice Chancellor for Academic and Workforce Innovation at the Tennessee Board of Regents System Office leads system-level academic and workforce initiatives. This role translates statewide priorities into coordinated action with community colleges and technical colleges, guiding curriculum approval, transfer, accreditation support, dual enrollment, and workforce programs across the TBR system.

Working with presidents, faculty, and state agencies, the position drives data-informed

Qualifications

• Master's Degree from a regionally accredited institution.
• 3 years middle leadership experience in career technical education at the college level.
• Preferred: Doctorate from a regionally accredited institution.
• Preferred: 10 years’ experience in a senior leadership position in higher education.
• Experience in both Campus and system office environments.

Responsibilities

• 30% - Technical Program Development and Quality Control: reviews curricula and prepares Board summary documents.
• 10% - Articulation & Transfer: leads curricular alignment and program committees.
• 10% - Accreditation: leadership for system-wide accreditation processes and data reports.
• 10% - Committee Work: participates in systemwide committees and cross-functional initiatives.
• 25% - Workforce Development: aligns workforce-focused academic programming with employer demand.
• 10% - Dual Enrollment: supports expansion and evaluation of dual enrollment pathways.
