Job summary

Air Line Pilots Association, International (ALPA) in Tysons (McLean), Virginia seeks a seasoned Communications Specialist to support strategic communications for bargaining goals and ALPA-wide initiatives, collaborating with MEC leaders and pilot groups.

You will develop media strategies, manage social media, PR campaigns, video and web content, and guide editors and staff to produce clear, credible messaging while meeting deadlines and travel 20-25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategic communications plans to advance bargaining goals and ALPA-wide initiatives.
• Provide professional support for MEC leaders, and assist pilot groups during end-game negotiations and events.
• Plan and implement social media, PR/education campaigns, and multi-media strategies to build awareness and support.
• Draft, edit, and review communications materials for internal and external audiences.
• Coordinate media relations, advertising, video, email, and web support, ensuring timely delivery.
