Air Line Pilots Association, International (ALPA) is seeking an Associate Analyst to support the Economic and Financial Analysis (E&FA) department in Tysons (McLean), Virginia. The role involves maintaining databases, tracking airline financial and operational data, and assisting staff and pilot members on research and negotiation projects.

The Associate Analyst will help design and analyze pilot surveys, maintain pay-rate tools, and contribute to monthly industry articles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, or related field required/ equivalent experience.
• Three years of professional experience in economic, financial, or quantitative analysis.
• Experience managing and analyzing structured datasets from external/government sources.
• Strong written communication, ability to translate complex topics for broad audiences.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; building and maintaining analytical models.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint for clear presentations.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain monthly Canada/U.S. economic indicators and quarterly sector indicators.
• Support analysts on negotiations and research projects.
• Help design and analyze pilot surveys and pay-rate databases.
• Prepare legal exhibits for grievances/arbitrations when needed.
• Contribute to monthly Air Line Pilot magazine and drafting articles.
