Job summary

Northeast Ohio Medical University seeks an Associate Dean for Dental Education and Academic Affairs to lead curriculum development, accreditation activities, and educational excellence within the Bitonte College of Dentistry.

The role requires extensive administrative experience, CODA knowledge, and a commitment to collaboration across departments. The incumbent will oversee governance and strategic planning to advance the college’s mission.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible for faculty appointment at NEOMED as Associate or Full Professor.
• Minimum of five years’ experience in dental education administration, curricular development and implementation.
• Administrative experience in curriculum development with understanding CODA requirements.
• Strong collaboration and advocacy for education within a university context.
• National recognition as an educational scholar and/or clinician-educator.

Responsibilities

• Provide curricular leadership and oversee curriculum development and assessment.
• Lead accreditation efforts and ensure CODA standards compliance and timely self-studies.
• Advise Dean and committees; manage governance and academic policies.
• Advance interprofessional education and university-wide collaborations.
• Oversee budgets, strategic planning, and program quality.
