Job summary

Independence Realty Trust is seeking an Associate Buyer to join our Procurement /Supply Chain team in Philadelphia, PA. The Associate Buyer will be responsible for the learning process and supporting value-driven sourcing across our entire enterprise.

The ideal candidate must be motivated by challenges and driven for success in all facets of sourcing from vendor identification, to vendor management. Responsibilities include working with buyers, operations and leadership to operationalize

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in procurement, data management, purchasing, or logistics.
• Strong analytical skills and data-driven mindset.
• Excellent communication, persuasion and negotiation skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Operationalize a documented sourcing process with buyers, operations, project managers and leadership partners.
• Deliver value to the organization by meeting timelines and generating buy-in.
• Conduct hands-on data collection to support category sourcing approaches and performance measurements.
• Work with ERP solutions (Entrata and Epicore) and Procuria to ensure data accuracy.
• Support Supply Chain communications across the organization and stakeholders.
• Build durable internal relationships with leadership and vendors to strengthen procurement integration.
