A growing financial services provider is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller for a full-time, permanent position located in Atlanta, Georgia. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required.
• 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience in insurance or reinsurance preferred.
• Big 4 or national accounting firm experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical accounting research and ensure compliance with US GAAP.
• Support monthly financial reporting and the preparation of financial disclosures.
• Manage relationships with external tax compliance providers.

Skills

Strong analytical skills and knowledge of US GAAP

Excellent communication skills

Detail-oriented

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Familiarity with General Ledger systems

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
