Job summary

Energy Transfer in Houston seeks an Analyst, Commercial Asset Optimization to identify opportunities to improve asset utilization across NGL, Refined Products, Petrochemical, Industrial Gas and related systems.

This position collaborates with Commercial, Operations, Engineering, Scheduling and Project Development teams to evaluate asset performance, conduct economic analyses, develop business cases, and translate data into actionable recommendations driving value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, or related field.
• 1-5 years of experience in the midstream, refining, petrochemical, industrial gas, energy, consulting, analytics, or related industries.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex data sets and draw meaningful conclusions.
• Strong quantitative and financial analysis capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and develop industry knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Analyze asset utilization, throughput, inventory, and operating performance to identify optimization opportunities.
• Support evaluation and development of asset optimization initiatives.
• Gather data with cross-functional teams to assess constraints and improvements.
• Develop economic evaluations, sensitivity analyses, and financial models.
• Assist in developing business cases and recommendations for optimization initiatives.
• Support opportunity pipelines by quantifying value creation.
• Analyze data to identify bottlenecks and opportunities across the asset network.
• Develop value-chain opportunities involving NGLs, refined products, petrochemicals, and gases.
• Create dashboards and reports to support data-driven decisions.
• Support project development including capacity analysis and economic justification.
• Prepare management presentations and reports for stakeholders.
• Monitor industry trends and market conditions impacting asset utilization.
• Promote collaboration and continuous improvement across functions.
• Model Energy Transfer's ethics and compliance standards.
