Job summary

The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center at the University of Maryland seeks a Director of Operations to lead production, facilities, and operational activities across Clarice Presents, SOM, TDPS, and MSPAL.

Reporting to the Executive Director, you will manage budgets, vendor relationships, and key partnerships, ensuring excellence in performance support and campus collaborations in a dynamic academic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Ten (10) years of professional program management experience.
• Five (5) years of experience supervising or managing professional staff.
• Strong knowledge of business drivers and data.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to develop and administer new policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Direct The Clarice’s production, facilities, and operational activities across Clarice Presents, SOM, TDPS, and MSPAL.
• Oversight of facilities, production equipment and its maintenance, and a departmental budget.
• Collaborate with the Executive Director and senior staff to build relationships with on-campus and external partners.
