Job summary

Huntington National Bank is seeking a seasoned Applications Architect to lead the architecture for the commercial loan servicing platform. You will design scalable, secure solutions, govern data, and align with enterprise standards and regulatory needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 7+ years in solution architecture or financial services technology leadership.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Experience implementing architecture governance in regulated environments.
• Strong understanding of architecture patterns, APIs, data platforms, resiliency, and AI governance concepts.
• Experience with SQL and application integration.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain the application roadmap, including technology direction and modernization initiatives.
• Develop solution approaches, architecture recommendations, and technical roadmaps.
• Align architecture with enterprise standards, security requirements, and business objectives.
• Provide high-level estimates and assess solution complexity for new initiatives.
• Guide teams on design, integration patterns, API development, and best practices.
• Lead architecture reviews and support key technical decisions.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, reliable, and aligned with standards.
• Communicate technical concepts to stakeholders.
• Create architecture diagrams, docs, and integration artifacts.
• Document debt, risks, dependencies, and improvement opportunities.
• Promote architecture standards and documentation best practices.
• Mentor developers and cross-functional teams.
• Lead discussions to resolve technical challenges and dependencies.
• Partner with business, product, infrastructure, and vendor teams.
