You will define risk targets, monitor KPI performance, and collaborate with stakeholders to implement testing and reporting that support decision-making and audit readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years in risk management or quantitative field OR Master’s with 3+ years of related experience.
• Strong background in statistics/econometrics or related quantitative discipline.
• Proficiency in SQL or SAS to query large datasets and build analyses.
• Predictive analytics techniques to evaluate risk/return tradeoffs and inform strategy decisions.
• Explain credit reporting concepts informing lending decisions, risk segmentation, and performance monitoring.
• Familiarity with consumer/business lending products and lifecycle risk dynamics.
• Transform raw data into actionable management information with clear narratives and actions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and structured, hypothesis-driven approach.
• Clear written and verbal communication for cross-functional audiences.
• Attention to detail and robust documentation for audit readiness.

Responsibilities

• Quantify credit risk and financial return profiles for new small business lending accounts and relationships.
• Develop analytics-driven recommendations to optimize strategy outcomes in growth, profitability, and risk.
• Design and refine lending risk criteria to support quality originations and consistent decisioning.
• Build and maintain reporting on volumes, approval/funding rates, delinquency, and loss performance.
• Monitor portfolio performance across acquisition funnel and credit lifecycle to identify trends and risk signals.
• Conduct pre/post-implementation testing to validate strategy changes and measure impact.
• Translate analytical findings into clear, actionable decisions and execution plans.
• Automate data pulls and reporting to improve timeliness and scalability.
• Document methodologies, controls, and strategy changes for audit readiness.
• Draft responses to audits/regulatory questions with traceability to data and controls.
