Job summary

Velocity Clinical Research, Inc. is seeking a Financial Analyst for Commercial Strategy & Analytics to transform pipeline, bookings, and revenue data into strategic insights.

The role sits at the intersection of Finance and Business Development and will drive sponsor targeting, account strategy, and sales execution across Velocity’s global site network. The ideal candidate will build segmentation models, dashboards, and KPI reports while ensuring data integrity across CRM and financial systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in finance-related field.
• 2–5 years in Investment Banking, Management Consulting, FP&A, commercial finance, or revenue analytics.
• Experience with sell/buy side financial models preferred.
• Background in clinical research or life sciences is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain segmentation models for sponsors and CROs to prioritize business development.
• Analyze win/loss rates and award trends to generate insights on market opportunities.
• Design and maintain sales dashboards covering pipeline, bookings, and revenue by account/segment.
• Define and report on sales KPIs aligned with business objectives; create dashboards communicating metrics.
• Track sales advancement through pipeline stages and identify bottlenecks for improvement.
• Partner with Business Development to build account plans for key sponsors and CROs.
• Ensure data integrity by reconciling CRM with financial systems and resolving data quality issues.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to forecast inputs tied to bookings and revenue.
• Support market sizing, competitive positioning, and pricing analyses for commercial planning.
• Provide data-driven insights to senior leadership and deliver recurring reports.
• Understand data needs across departments and offer analytical support.
• Other duties as assigned.
